TEMPO NO CORPO /  TIME THROUGH THE BODY

inicio / start

15 dias / 15 days

Agora enfróntaste ao mundo, mostrando o teu corpo espido, sen medo a  nada.

I wish I didn’t have to see you like this.

Your body, formerly filled with strength, fades away sickly in the course of time.

Neither you, nor I can stop it, but I feel the need to preserve what I see so I can understand you

Now, you face up to the world, showing your naked body with no fears.

DETALLES / DETAILS

The act of photographing becomes a real emotional therapy, exposing an ill body which goes beyond the bare imperfect surface.

The personal relationship and the need for mutual comprehension turns the photographs into a unifying element between us and the reality itself, thus creating a new perspective which used to remain silent.

The installation, of an ephemeral nature, is made up of twenty-seven filled with water crystal bottles into which the photographs are submerged. This way, the personal intention of the body itself is expressed, the same as the impossibility of reaching it, symbolically making the gradual deterioration of the photographic paper evident through the liquid, up to its complete dissolution with the passing of time.
